In December 2023, UiTM and Alpro Pharmacy organised a community engagement program, the ‘Safe Medication Disposal Program’, in Saujana Utama. Following the event, the Majlis Permuafakatan Penduduk Saujana Utama (MPPSU) invited the team from the Pharmacy Faculty to present on safe medicines disposal at the Program Jom Sihat on 3 February 2024. The UiTM team headed by Dr. Hisyam Abdul Hamid presented the latest data on their research with Alpro Pharmacy, regarding the economic and social impact of pharmaceutical waste in Malaysia. The Medication Disposal Bin was also provided by the Alpro Pharmacy Saujana Utama branch. The team also created quizzes at the booth to entertain and educate the younger attendees.
